New Focus ST 2.5 Superchip
We are pleased to announce the we have now completed our first Superchip conversion for the new Focus ST. The conversion is an actual ECU re-program as opposed to a chip change and we have to remove the ECU from the vehicle to bench program it. The ECU is programmed on a special jig via the processors BDM interface. The are no physical chip changes and no soldering involved.

The figures that we were seeing on the dyno were 251bhp and 265lbs/ft of torque at the flywheel. We do however feel that these figures were slightly low as we were not achieving maximum boost pressure (1bar) on the dyno due to heat related issues.

Upon driving the converted car we found that the main differences were from about 3000rpm onwards where you really feel the car start to generate more boost and torque. This power is felt all the way through the remainder of the rev range.

The cost to carry out this conversion is £435 + vat (£511.13 inc vat) and includes a power test afterwards with power and torque graphs.
